Climate & Weather East Sikkim

The district is roughly divided into three climate zones, tropical, temperate, and alpine see varied types of weather over varied places. For most of the year, the weather is cold and humid as occurrence rainfall is very common every month. East Sikkim sees the summer season in the months of April- June, the main monsoon season in the months of July- September, and the winter season in the months of October - March. Being a high rainfall zone, it receives an average of 165 cm of rainfall annually.
