Location of South Sikkim

The South district of Sikkim is perched between altitudes of 400 meters to 2000 meters with a unique and rugged mountainous terrain feature that hosts the terrace sloped agricultural fields. It is the smallest district out of the four districts of Sikkim. Namchi or Namtse (meaning Sky High), being the district headquarters of South Sikkim is the nearest town to Siliguri with 85 km of distance between them.
