Yumthang valley

Yumthang valley is also known as the “Valley of Flowers”. A tour through Yumthang valley is a must on the itinerary list of people who are traveling to Lachen. The famous Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary is located in the Yumthang valley of flowers and is an incredible tourist attraction to visit in May. You can witness around forty species of rhododendron trees and plants here, and treat the nature admirer within.
Another major attraction and a must-visit place are Zero Point, not exactly in Yumthang but just 23 km away from it and at an altitude of 15,000 ft. Here it is where the road ends and the views of three rivers confluence and snow-clad mountains can be viewed.
The Yumthang valley has fair facilities of accommodation with hotels and homestays. The best time to visit Yumthang is between late February to mid-June when one can witness the blooming beauty of the flower valley.
